SUSAN WILSON

My work in clay has always been about understanding my place in the world.  With clay I explore my fears, hopes, longings, and questions. The three-dimensionality of clay enables me to create real spaces within and outside of which I can tell these stories.  Especially in this time of isolation and uncertainty, these seven mixed media figures, considered separately or together, titled “Yearnings,” tell their stories of their fears and dreams.  I invite the viewer to travel alongside them on their journey.
