IN THE MIDST OF FAMILY

Human Figure and Houses in Clay
Human Faces and Structures in Clay

During my years with children my house and figural forms held not only my family but also my imaginings.  I tell stories about child bearing, about being together and alone, about connection and solitude, about dreaming and waiting, about leaving and returning, always hopeful.  I ask questions such as “Is my child still breathing?” and “Can I trust?” and “Will he return?”  These stories and questions float within and around the spaces charged with all that is unresolved.
